The Association’s tradition is to form a stronger relationship with certain Funeral Homes that cater to community needs and cooperate with the Association, Clergy, and Customers, as each desire. These select homes must exhibit a lengthy history of excellent service, cooperation, and upmost care of customers and Association prior to obtaining this preferred status.
MCEWEN FUNERAL HOME PINEVILLE (FORMERLY KNOWN AS HARRY BRYANT FUNERAL HOME)
The terms which both the Association and the Funeral Home mutually agree to in exchange for the Association and clergy to recommend a Preferred Home are the following:
- Offer the customer the negotiated community price. This price reflects a discount on products and service expenses.
- Take cases of Jewish Funeral Assistance Fund at a set minimum fee adjusted periodically.
- Complete with customer on behalf of the HCA, the HCA Contract and receive and distribute payment to the Association.
- Cooperate and accommodate the various activities and requirements of the various Chevra Kadishas and Shomrim.
- Inventory and control are Association provided: burial shrouds, kippot, and talasim.
- Comply with Jewish tradition as guided by the Clergy, Chevra Kadisha, Association and Family.
